Hello, I need help with identifying the rifle I received from my father. I'm not so much interested in the worth as much as the history and what type this exactly is. What I do know is that it is a Sharps.45cal rifle. All of the ones I have found have the plate on the stock and the wood does not go as far down the barrel as mine does. Patent names and dates that are stamped on the rifle are: C. Sharps Sept 12, 1848 C. Lawrence April 12, 1859 R.S.

However, I'm wondering how much this gun is worth? I've been trying to do some research on it but none of the similar guns I have found are a perfect fit, the other Sharps either have the buttstock storage plate and/or the wood does not go as far down the barrel as mine.
