You don't even need to see her messages. Facebook feeds your news, friends, friend lists, etc using psychological rules. This is why it logs everything, every single move you make; even private messages, if they contain a string of characters it will move the friend to the appropriate place in chat; ex: if you were fighting on facebook and you used some nasty curse words, facebook will intercept them and move the guy you were fighting backward in chat.
