Your correct its 9.0.2 I have currently have CS2 9.0.2 running on 10.4.11 and it runs fine(as an off-line photo-studio Mac) CS2 is installed on a 160G HD for the applications only and there is a second 160G HD allocated as a photoshop scratch disc cache level 7. I have allocated approx 1400 GB of Ram allocated for photoshop. Is it possible that you may require more RAM or Free HD (Scratch disc) space to run CS 2 with 10.4.11?

After most of the usual fixes proved to no avail, What I was faced with was doing an 'Archive and Install' back DOWN to a pretty basic installation of Mac OS 10.4.0. This peeled off most of the third party drivers and system add ons from Panther. Then adding up-to-date versions of ONLY the things I needed, scanner from epson, Printer from Canon, Wacom tablet, all new drivers for 10.4.
